Rockefeller Capital Management recruited a 14-person team in Ohio to its Rockefeller Global Family Office wealth management division. Jones Wealth Partners joins Rockefeller after more than four decades with Merrill Lynch, where the group managed about $2 billion in assets, according to Forbes.

The move allows Rockefeller to expand its Ohio footprint by opening a new office in Columbus. The firm has existing offices in Cincinnati and Cleveland.

Ohio continues to be a growth opportunity for the firm, Brett Thelander said. Thelander is northern regional president of Rockefeller Global Family Office. The firm looks forward to partnering with the team to bring Rockefeller's solutions and advice to their clients, he said.

Sidney Jones leads the team as private advisor and managing director. Jones started his career at Merrill Lynch 43 years ago. His sons, Quinn and Liam Jones, are also joining Rockefeller as private advisors and senior vice presidents.

Other team members include Senior Vice President Natalie Lariccia. Private advisors and vice presidents Dominic Corso and Stefanos Newman also joined. Team Chief Operating Officer John Christman and Team Senior Wealth Strategist Sherri Clay round out the senior roster.

Senior Client Relationship Manager Lisa D'Amico, Client Relationship Associate Tracey Johnson, Investment Strategist Kevin Meek, and Operations Manager Ryan McKay joined the team. Client experience associates Jennifer Zetts and Kari DeLucia also made the move.

The team will maintain a presence in Columbus and Canfield, Ohio.

Rockefeller Capital Management began as the family office of John D. Rockefeller in 1882. The company was restructured as an independent advisory firm in 2018. The firm has since grown to include three distinct businesses: Rockefeller Global Family Office, Rockefeller Asset Management and Rockefeller Strategic Advisory.

The firm has many locations across the U.S. and one in London. It oversees about $224 billion in client assets.
