Clerk who sold gun to Hunter Biden testifies in trial for jurors

Hunter Biden’s Widow Testifies in Federal Gun Trial Involving President’s Son

Hunter Biden’s federal gun trial took a dramatic turn as the widow of his late brother, Hallie Biden, took the stand to testify about the moment she found a revolver in his truck. The emotional testimony detailed how she discovered the gun and ammunition, panicked, and ultimately disposed of the weapon in a trash can outside a market near her home.

The purchase of the Colt revolver by Hunter Biden, who has pleaded not guilty to three felonies, including lying to a gun dealer and illegally possessing the gun, is at the center of the case. Federal prosecutors allege that Hunter was in the midst of a heavy crack addiction when he bought the gun, leading to the charges against him.

Hallie Biden’s testimony shed light on the events leading up to the disposal of the gun, including her efforts to help Hunter stay sober and free of drugs. She described finding drug paraphernalia and remnants of crack cocaine in his car, as well as her own struggles with addiction, which she attributed to Hunter.

The trial has also highlighted Hunter Biden’s struggles with addiction, with prosecutors presenting evidence of his drug use and lapses in judgment. Surveillance footage showed Hallie digging through a trash can to retrieve the gun after Hunter noticed it was missing and asked her to find it.

The trial comes after the collapse of a plea deal that would have resolved the gun charge and a separate tax case against Hunter Biden. If convicted, he faces up to 25 years in prison, though it’s unclear whether he would receive the maximum sentence as a first-time offender.

The proceedings have drawn attention to the Biden family, with allies expressing concern about the toll the trial may take on President Joe Biden, who is deeply invested in his son’s health and sobriety. The trial is unfolding against the backdrop of the 2024 election, with Hunter Biden’s legal troubles taking center stage alongside other high-profile cases.

As the trial continues, the spotlight remains on Hunter Biden and the outcome of the case, which has implications for both his personal life and the political landscape. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.
