Revolutionizing Private Investment Management with Arch: An Interview with CEO Ryan Eisenman
Arch, a digital-first private investment management platform, is revolutionizing the way advisors and investors manage their alternative investments. With over $60B in total alternative investments tracked by the platform, Arch is streamlining the process of aggregating information, handling new investment opportunities, portfolio management, capital calls, distributions, reporting, and investor updates through automation.
Recently, Arch secured a $20M Series A funding round led by Menlo Ventures, with participation from existing investors Craft Ventures and Quiet Capital, as well as new investors Carta, Citi Ventures, GPS Investment Partners, and Focus Financial Partners. This brings the total funding raised to $25.5M.
AlleyWatch had the opportunity to speak with Arch CEO and Cofounder Ryan Eisenman to learn more about the platform and the company’s strategic plans. Eisenman shared that Arch was founded in 2018 to address the challenges faced by private investors and financial advisors in managing their portfolios. The platform modernizes K-1 collection, automates operations, and simplifies reporting for financial professionals, eliminating the need to access multiple fund admin portals.
One of the key differentiators of Arch is its ability to capture a wide range of investment structures, including general partner or limited partner structures, private companies, directly held real estate, and startup investments. With tens of trillions of dollars currently invested in alternative assets, Arch targets advisors, accountants, and individuals managing private market investments.
Looking ahead, Arch plans to hire more engineers and developers to expand its product roadmap and build a more open architecture for integrations with other advisor tech companies and custodians. The company also aims to release an API to allow seamless integration with other platforms in the future.
In the near term, Arch will focus on automating more workflows for advisors, accountants, and their clients, delivering increased insights around an investor’s private markets portfolio, and building additional tools to reduce the risk of fraud against investors. With a strong investor base and a clear vision for the future, Arch is poised for continued growth and success in the private investment management space.
